Chandra,
your analysis looks really interesting, in particular the strong
deviation from the Sigma^0 results.
A few comments:
p.3 quark sub-structure of a real photon?? Do you mean: the dissociation
of a photon into a q \bar{q} pair (here s \bar{s})?
p.4 The argument of vanishing net polarization as sign for QGP is rather
artificial, the energy density is not high in g+p reaction. Interference
of production amplitudes could cause similar effects.
p.4 In which respect can 'the polarized hyperon' from a photo-induced
reaction be used as beam?
p.6 If you write K^0 as superposition of states, shouldn't you use kets
(not bras)?
p.6 Figure: the Sigma^+ decay coordinates are not clear to me: usually
z=direction of Sigma^+ and y=normal; the recoil polarization of Sigma^+
that you measured is usually the y-component.
p.12: you are showing MM(pX)=missing mass off proton, not M(P)

Good luck
Franz
