Ken,
Would it be correct for me to say that there is a huge amount of data that
fits in the definition of "outlier"?
Are we now reporting numbers as median values without regards to
individual uncertainties? Are outliers part of the median? I've never seen
this sort of thing before. Is there some statistical significance to 3/2
times upper quartile, with upper quartile defined as having 25% of data
having larger values. Where does the factor of 3/2 come from. Was it
pulled out of the air?
Nice try in showing the non-functioning polarimeter as part of a backup
slide. I found that kind of funny.
