[clas_members] SoS deadline and CLAS12 Task List

Dear CLAS members,
the deadline for the submission of the Statements of Service (SoS) is 
November 30th, slightly more than a month from now.

Detailed instructions for the preparation and submission of the SoS can be 
found at:

Institution Representatives, please remember that you have to submit TWO 
SoS's: one for the year 2019, detaling the SW your institution has done, 
and one with the projected SW for 2020.

The CLAS12 Task List for 2020 is now online. It can be reached after 
logging in the web interface, from the main menu (CLAS12 tasks). Some 
of the tasks are already assigned, but there are about 40 tasks which 
need volounteers. Keep in mind that it is strongly recommended that a good 
fraction (ideally 50%) of the SW of your institution comes from CLAS12 
Tasks from the List.
The tasks range from hardware, software, simulation, detector-specific 
tasks, and require different levels of knowledge and expertise.

****NOTE THE CHANGE compared to last year: If you want to pick a task 
you must get in touch with the contact person listed on the Task List, 
she/he will decide whether or not you have the required skills and then 
will assign the task to you.****

If you have any doubt or question, either on the SoS preparation and 
submission, or on the Task List, please get in touch with me - and please 
avoid doing it at the very last minute. :-)
