Dear colleague,

Within a PhD project, we are conducting a survey in order to evaluate the interest, the relevance and the trust physicists put into Machine Learning algorithms for data analysis.



This evaluation will be performed with:
   - general questions to understand your expectations regarding performance and interpretability of an algorithm for data analysis.
   - questions about a practical case on which we apply and present the results of different machine learning algorithms.



This survey is declined in two parts, independent from each other. You will have to choose a keyword so that we can associate the two parts you filled. This keyword will be asked at the beginning of each survey.

We estimate that each part takes about 30 minutes to complete, so do not hesitate to postpone the filling of the second part to an other day after you finished the first one. Part 2 comprises an interesting comparison between different methods which concludes this study, so we encourage you to go all the way through the survey.
