[clas_members] call for nominations for CLAS Chair

Dear CLAS Collaborators,

Our CLAS Chair, Kyungseon Joo is at the end of his term and we will need 
to elect a new Chair. Preferably, the vote would take place, as we have 
done traditionally, at the next collaboration meeting on the 4th of 
June. On behalf of the nominating committee, consisting of Veronique 
Ziegler, Marco Mirazita, Dave Ireland, and myself, I am writing to ask 
you for your nominations for CLAS Collaboration Chair. Self-nominations 
are welcome. Nominated colleagues should be full CLAS members. If you 
have questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Please, send me your nominations by the 23rd of May. We plan to announce 
the nominees on the 28th of May.

The above schedule is compressed compared to the schedule outlined in 
the Collaboration Charter, e.g., that the call for nominations is issued 
at least 60 days, and the nominees are announced at least 30 days, prior 
to the election. We hope that there will not be objections to this 
shorter timeline, nonetheless, if you feel strongly about it do not 
hesitate to let me know. We believe we could have a successful 
nomination and election process that would bring forward a good leader 
for the Collaboration.
