<div>I would like to share a message to the collaboration on behalf of our interim postdoc/student liaison Pierre Chatagnon:</div>

<div>On Wednesday the 8th of November from 5:30 to 7pm, the first CLAS collaboration SLAM event will be held at the Tradition Brewery in Newport News. During this events students and postdocs from the collaboration will be challenged to present their work in
only 3 minutes ! </div>
<div>This will be a fast paced competition where contestant are only allowed at most 1 slides and 180 second to presents their work. Everyone from the collaboration is welcomed to join and encourage the participants. </div>

<div>The events rules for the participants are:</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> * Presentation must be at most 3 minutes long.</div>
<div> * While a single slide is allowed, it is not mandatory. Small objects and props to support your presentation are also allowed.</div>
<div> * You may talk about any topic of your research, but make sure it is understandable by non-specialists.</div>
<div> * Participants will be judged by the attendance on both the scientific content of their speech and the quality of the oral and visual presentation.</div>
