<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">With many run groups having thoughts, and making progress towards, further rounds of calibrations and reconstruction, we are writing to provide context and outline the initial steps that the CCC will be
taking in order to bring a more formalised structure and approach towards this process. Primarily the aim is to avoid premature recalibration requests that could result in repeated passes, and to ensure that CALCOM is fully supported in its decisions requiring
prioritisation of recalibration and recooking.</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">We need to be mindful that ongoing improvements in calibration and reconstruction are consolidated before initiating new recalibration requests whilst also recognising that this is an optimal time to focus
on preparations and recalibrations given that CALCOM now has availability, with RG-L (FD) efforts concluding and no new CLAS12 running in 2026.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6.7px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-width: normal; font-size: 14.7px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; font-size-adjust: none; font-kerning: auto; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-feature-settings: normal; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-variation-settings: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(79, 129, 189);">
<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">During the November collaboration meeting, there will be a dedicated session in which run group coordinators will present the status and supporting case for future recalibration and recooking. These reports
will then lead to subsequent discussions of physics-driven priorities and realistic timelines. The intended outcome is for the CCC to establish a broadly agreed priority ordering of recalibration/recooking.</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">In order to make some initial progress, we are asking you to give thought towards the following questions, the answers to which should be presented during the meeting session:</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6.7px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-width: normal; font-size: 14.7px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; font-size-adjust: none; font-kerning: auto; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-feature-settings: normal; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-variation-settings: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(79, 129, 189);">
<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">- What is your available person-power, for example: a chef and coordinator who will follow the process in its entirety; students or postdocs to analyse and assess the data quality and perform validation
studies, are any new analyses expected to be triggered by the process? </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 6.7px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-width: normal; font-size: 14.7px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; font-size-adjust: none; font-kerning: auto; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-feature-settings: normal; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-variation-settings: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(79, 129, 189);">
<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">- On what preferred timescale do you envisage recalibration/recooking of your data to be of most use, for example to maintain a current standard between data sets or to wait for future additional improvements?</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14.67px; font-kerning: none;">On the part of the CCC/CALCOM, we will circulate a status document containing current and near-future improvements to calibrations and reconstruction including any remaining open questions or caveats. This
document will be circulated on a timescale coinciding with the collaboration meetings and run group coordinators will be asked to address an additional question, during the discussion session, based on this:</span></p>
