Hello All,
The Hall D Data Challenge completed, leaving the farm mainly to CLAS. We
do have a 50% quota, but we typically occupy ~80% of the farm.
As a result when other Halls submit big number of jobs, our priority is
going down for few days. That happened recently when Hall D started the
Data Challenge.
The Priority queue has been increased to 4 hours from 30min. That will
allow submitting 1 regular job (per user) to priority queue, so things
can be checked
when waiting the output from regular jobs.

In case you haven't visited http://scicomp.jlab.org lately, here's the latest farm news:
4/25 Farm outage Tuesday May 6 for PBS upgrade
The Physics data analysis cluster will be unavailable on Tuesday, May 6 during a scheduled upgrade of PBS, the farm resource manager software.
4/25 Priority queue increased to 4 hours
The farm priority queue, accessed via the debug and test tracks, has been lengthened to allow 4 hour max cpu time, up from 30 minutes. This queue is intended to provide quick turnaround on startup jobs for preparing longer runs in the farm.
4/15 Hall D Data Challenge completed
The second Hall D data challenge has wrapped up; the farm has returned to 1400 cores and the 2048 cores exchanged with HPC have been returned.
4/08 Power outage cancelled for Data Center Saturday April 26
Vendor does not yet have needed equipment - will be rescheduled, likely for Saturday June 28.
Please contact me or anyone in our group with any questions or concerns, and if you haven't checked out the latest documentation you have a very good chance of actually find up-to-date answers! http://scicomp.jlab.org/docs
