[Clas_online] DCRB/FADC data from region 3

Nathan, please copy dcrb13045.evio.

Mac, new file contains FADC data from region3 slot 7 connecter 0 after fixing low voltage, and it has much bigger statistic than dcrb13040.evio. As before, FADC range is 1984s. I'm running region 2 now.

Nathan, please copy dcrb13040.evio.

Mac, new file contains FADC data from region3 slot 7 connecter 0. FADC range is 1984ns, it is maximum range we can set at that moment. Please let me know how it looks.

Yes, I think that is it. The window is not long enough to capture the re-crossing of threshold.

Hello Mac,

Was it checked what those events are when time overt the threshold is 0?
In this plot you have much more of them than you showed in the Online meeting.
Could they be events when the threshold crossing was in the readout window, but it returns below the threshold only after the readout window is finished?

Hello Sergey;

I do see the beginnings of pulses, up to 400 ns (this is probably a cutoff from the viewer).
I also see a diagonal limit: [ ( time + time-over-threshold ) < 500 ] which means the flashADC goes out to 500 ns.
So, we are chopping off tails and even the beginnings of pulses whose time is greater than 500.
There are not many hits past 500 ns, but there are lots of hits with (time + time-over-threshold) > 500.

Mac, do you see the beginning of the pulses (meaning we are choping tails) or it is not clear ? Another word, do we have leading edge in the beginning of the window, like we have it in reg. 1 ?

Hello Sergey and all;

I looked at all of the data-sets.

  * the reg.3 data is chopped off as you thought; and there's not much data. At any rate, we'll have to have longer time spans for time and time over threshold. Can Ben do this by making the time bins longer; 8 ns instead of 4 ns?
  * the data for the 4 different slots in Reg.1 all look the same which is what we thought would happen.

So, the preliminary results all look good.

Nathan,
please copy dcrb13032.evio, it is region 3 (dc63 slot 5 connector 0).

Mac,
please look at region 3 data and let me know it is make sense. Possible problem can be short FADC range. Another problem I see is significant amount of bad events (noise for entire region etc), it will be good to run at least hit-based reconstruction and use only good tracks to fill histogram.
Standard DCRB bank is restored from FADC data so tracking should work with 6-out-of-6 super layers.

Sergey

They’re copied to the usual location. -Nathan

Nathan, Mac,

4 files are ready to be copied from clondaq6:/data/test/

dcrb13026.evio - dcrb slot 5 connector 0 unplugged, and plugged to FADC
dcrb13027.evio - ... slot 7 connector 0 ...
dcrb13028.evio - ... slot 9 connector 0 ...
dcrb13029.evio - ... slot 3 connector 0 ...

First 3 files have thousands of events and correspond to wire numbers around 32, 64 and 96 respectively. Last file correspond to the beginning of the region and has low cosmic statistics (300+ events).

Every file has FADC bank for corresponding area, and also DCRB bank restored from FADC, so it can be viewed by CED or even reconstructed if needed.

Nathan, please copy it to CUE.

I'm working on region 3 now, hope to have results soon.

Sergey

We took 4 runs for different areas of DC sector 6 region 1, I will process data and ask Nathan to copy it soon. Next step will be region 3, fadc range issue have to be addressed. We will continue discussion next week.
