Dear everyone,

The time is coming close to the next collaboration meeting, when I planned to hand over to the next Student / Post-Doc representative to the Coordinating Committee. The job is straight-forward and doesn't take too much time -- and in fact it is up to you what you make of it! At its simplest, it involves maintaining the CLAS Term Wiki with useful links and information which may be relevant to the students and postdocs of CLAS, holding a lunchtime meeting during very collaboration meeting to discuss any issues that may arise and reporting to the Coordinating Committee afterwards. Of course, it can be much more than this, depending on how active you want to be! You will probably be most of use to new students and postdocs in the collaborations, in ensuring that they have all the relevant information for integrating, becoming a term member, etc. And it looks great on a CV :-)

I have already emailed about this a couple of months ago and had a number of interested people. Please re-confirm that you're still up for it! Anybody else who may be interested, please let me know, too, by Wednesday. We could of course pull straws but I think if I have more than one interested person, I will go the democratic way and set up a CLAS vote which will close at the start of the Collaboration Meeting.

If you have any more questions or just want to chat about it, please feel free to email or find me around JLab -- I live in the counting room now-a-days.

Best wishes,

Daria

--
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
