On behalf of Biplab Dey (biplabd at andrew.cmu.edu, I know you are in touch already, this is for bookkeeping on clascomment). Marco.
Hello,
My general impression is that you are looking at something very subtle
with very limited statistics and I fear that you could be easily
overwhelmed by systematics. It\'s fine to search for a Phi-N bound state
``signal\'\', but differential cross-sections may be pushing it a bit too
far.
Anyways, I had two questions:
1) Could you please show (or point towards, if this\'s already shown
elsewhere) your signal-background subtraction --*not* the cumulative one,
but in any ($\\sqrt{s}$, t) bin that you quote a $d\\sigma/dt$.
2) The physics model that you\'ve used to generate your MC seems to be
Pomeron-ish. I thought that near threshold, the generally known $2^+$
Pomeron had little contribution, and it were mostly rho and/or $0^+$
scalar glueball exchanges. How much does the acceptance depend on the
physics model used? Btw, PRC 73, 025207 (2006) has a more conventional
chiral quark model of generating the Phi-N state, so may be you can show a
comparison between theory and experiment?
Cheers,
-Biplab.
