[Clascomment] OPT-IN: Subthreshold photoproduction of phi mesons from deuterium

Hi Colleagues:
The subject of the paper is interesting, however things are not exclaimed very clearly to a person like me who is not familiar with the issues, and as such, if you are considering sending this to PRL you will run into trouble. For example, the motivating figure is Figure 1. This figure needs a bit more explanation of what the curves correspond to. Even more important, I kept expecting to see the equivalent figure for this experiment to compare with what I see in Figure 1, bit it does not appear anywhere  in the paper.
