Dear authors,

I have read through your paper on transparency ratios from SRC and my comments
are included below. Let me know if you have any questions.

Page 1:
 - Abstract.
Line 5. Remove comma after (GeV/c)$^2$.
 - Left column.
    Paragraph 1.
Line 11. Remove comma after "(MeV/c)".
     Line 13. Add comma after "\omega - T_p$".
Line 14. Spurious "are" on this line.
    Paragraph 2.
Line 1. Use "(2$N$SRC)" to be consistent with usage elsewhere.
 - Right column.
    Paragraph 2.
Line 4. Add comma after "^{12}$C".
    Paragraph 3.
Line 3. Use "... of the Thomas ...".
    Paragraph 4.
Line 3. Use "Cherenkov" to be consistent with later usage.
Line 4. Remove "(EC)" as you don't use this abbreviation elsewhere.

Page 2:
 - Left column.
    Paragraph 2.
Line 3. Use "... the measured time-of-flight of positively charged particles and
                  that calculated from ...".
    Paragraph 3.
Line 5. Missing mass numbers on aluminum and tin.
Line 7. Use "... targets were separated ...".
     Line 13. Use "solid target.".
    Paragraph 5.
Line 2. Use "... pairs, one must choose ...".
 - Right column.
Line 1 after point 5. Use "Here, ...".
Fig. 2. Include units on x-axis label.

Page 3:
 - Fig. 3 caption. Line 5. Use "... up to a proton ...".
 - Left column. Add a comma at the end of Eq.(1).
 - Right column.
Add a comma at the end of Eq.(2).
    Paragraph 1.
Line 5 after Eq.(2). Notation issue starting here and throughout the remainder of the
paper. In Eq.(2) you introduce the term "a_2(A_2/A_1)", then throughout the rest of
the paper it appears as "a_2(A_1/A_2)". I would stick with always writing it in the
same way as introduced in Eq.(2).
     Line 12 after Eq.(2). Use "Table I".
     Line 14 after Eq.(2). Use "center-of-mass".

Page 4:
  - Fig. 4. The graphed values of the Glauber calculation to not match what is stated
in the text in the right column (line 6 of paragraph 1 : -0.315+0.003). What is plotted
is -0.325. If the value is -0.315, then the Glauber calculation is not "consistent" with
your result (i.e. it is more than 1 sig different). It would be (in my opinion) only
reasonably consistent (revisit your two statements made on pp. 4).
 - Left column.
    Paragraph 2.
Line 4. Add comma after "T_p(A/C)".
Line 8. Use "..., the sensitivity to cuts (4\%), and the uncertainty ...".

Page 5:
 - Include proper punctuation with all equations. Add a comma after Eq.(3) and Eq.(4). Add a
period at the end of Eq.(5).
 - Put references in the order cited.
