Congratulations to your first circulation.

As a general comment I suggest we submit the paper to EPJA (The European Physical Journal A: Hadrons and Nuclei) where the most recent prediction from the quark model (ref 15 by Dhir and Verma) was published.

I have only a few minor comments you might consider:

- page 2/line 4 from the bottom: you use here for the first time the expression “g11a run period”. Maybe you can introduce it already 7 lines before writing: “… using a real photon beam produced by a 4.019 GeV electron beam (g11a-run)”. Moreover, here you could drop the hyphen between 4.019 and GeV.

- In all Figures add “Counts” on the vertical axis.

- In Fig. 2, I would use points for experimental data and histogram for the Monte Carlo simulation.

- page 9/line 2: I would write “… to the magnetic moment \mu_{\Sigma\Sigma^*+} becomes [5],”

- page 9/eq.(3): write (3.22 +/-0.35)\mu_N. Moreover define \mu_N two lines below.

- page 9/eq.(5): write (0.47 +/-0.43)\mu_N,

- page 9/eq.(6): write (1.85 +/-0.86)\mu_N,

- Page 10/last par/line 4: add “(INFN)” after “Nucleare”. That is write: “the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), …”.

- Page 11/ref 12: the vol. G33 of J.Phys is of 2006, not 2009. However, I would refer to the last Review published on J.Phys. G37, 1 (2010).
