Dear Authors of Sigma paper,

I have few comments on the paper. First of all it seems too much compressed and very few explanations are given. Perhaps choosing different target magazine one could give more comprehensive description of the analysis.
1) why do you use beta cut? I thought it was common practice to use \Delta t?
2) page 3, paragraph 5 - "pi^+_1 was found (by kinematic constraints) to be from K^0 decay" may need more details. Is the choice unambiguous?
3) I find the Figs.1 and 2 incomplete, I guess you could add the histograms with events selected by the two kinematic fits. A reader who just gives one sight on the figures may get an impression that your event identification is really poor.
4) page 5, paragraph 2 - some details on the "different reaction channels" accounted for may be useful.
5) page 6, paragraph 1 - you say that you adjusted energy and angular dependence of the data to reproduce simulations, is it really so? Some kind of momentum corrections which are not explained?
6) you use 10% confidence level cut, normally 5% is used.
7) I am not convinced that the two-step kinematic fit procedure is well motivated. Naively I would think that if you have two normal distributions: one 10% and other 90% of the overall strength, the consecutive fit results are not invariant with respect to the order of hypotheses you test.
8) page 8, paragraph 4 - "minor contributions of background from omega\Delta adn K^*\Sigma were subtracted". You could add some details here how did you calculated those contributions?

Best Regards,
                Mikhail.
