Hello Jason, Lei, and Brian,
That is really nice paper with nice new CLAS data.
There are several minor suggestions for your consideration.
1) Your Intro is too long for the letter specifically that you are talking about low energies and there is no
bridge to high energy physics which you are presenting.
2) The sources of theoretical curves on Figs 5 - 7 are unclear.
3) One can possible to see that you use Refs [28,29] to compare a theory with your data then it would be good to have a description what this theory is about.
4) Meanwhile, the sensitivity of new CLAS data to different theoretical approaches, as Figs 5-7 show, is
very low. Then the question is about an impact of new measurements to identification the hyperon
excitation spectra and discern a photoproduction mechanism which is a goal of your paper as abstract
says.
4) Let me suggested to make clear about the limitation of the model [28,29], which has been designed
and tested against the cross sections and invariant masses for photon incident energies of only up to
about 4 GeV [28,29]. Beyond ~4 GeV, it is stretching the model.
There are my 2c
Igor
