From stepanya at jlab.org Sun May 4 17:48:49 2025 From: stepanya at jlab.org (Stepan Stepanyan) Date: Sun, 4 May 2025 17:48:49 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [Clascomment] OPT-IN: Recoil Polarization in K+Y Electroproduction in the Nucleon Resonance Region with CLAS12 Message-ID: <20250504214849.6B50E28B4A@clasweb-2015.jlab.org> - Line 279, citation [54] for Eq.(9). Is there a theory paper/book to refer? Citation [54] is another experimental paper that just uses the formula. - Lines 378-394, is there a reason not to mention LTCC, CND, and BAND? I understand this measurement is not using these detectors, but as you describe the detector, it is better to mention all the components (LTCC and BAND are visible in the rendering). line 593, is really target position and the length is set in the event generator and not in GEMC? - Line 714 and Eq.(21). How exactly this evet-by-event approach works? You do not know a priori which event is Lambda or Sigma. Fits give the number of events in the respective peaks. - Line 808, should there be a comma after ???for this,??? - Lines 868-869, why does reducing the number of bins make the results more sensitive to the bin migration? The bin migration depends on the resolution ratio to the bin size. Reduction of bins will make the bin size larger, and therefore should make results less sensitive to the bin migration. - Line 874, is the RMS 0.026 for 1d or 4D case, or altogether? - Lines 920-923, There is no good reason for halving the RMS width. More explanations will be helpful. - Line 925, is this +/-5% variation on the cross section or on the polarization? - Line 970, what does ???the radiation model functional" mean? Looks like something is incorrect, maybe just ???the radio model???? - Line 976, it is not clear what ???two studies??? refers to - Line 1012, this is due to a smaller Pt for protons in FD, not because of the long path - Line 1025, was this shift, 3 degrees, for both FD and CD? and if yes, why? CD misreconstruction is x5 times smaller - Line 1079, The description of cos(\theta), it is not exactly how it looks. I see it as the Py monotonly decreases from -1 to 1, while Py??? has more of an inverted bell shape - Line 1143, something wrong with this statement, ???fails to describe ??? either or ???????
