Hi all,
I was able to resolve some of the issues I was having yesterday by generating some new H(e,e’p) Monte Carlo. I turned off the energy corrections (they don't seem to do much, but I don't trust them). From the initial sweep of optics values, the input files we should use for the hydrogen run settings are here: /work/e1206107/CT12GeV/mc_inp
I have not applied all of these to carbon (MC) yet, but I’ll do that next. I also updated our standard.kinematics files with the correct 5 pass beam energy and the central momentum offsets (again not 100% fine-tuned, but definitely an improvement!).
Updated MC to data comparisons are at the links on our wiki. Things are looking much better (check out the Emiss and P-Pcalc) :-) In these plots, green is with the delta optimization I perform at each setting and black is the additional correction to yptar. I posted all the raw root files and corrections here if you need them for talks or whatever: https://userweb.jlab.org:/~hszumila/hallc/CT/coin_LH2/
If you wanted to run the Heep optimization code yourself, with a fresh pull, you can run it. I attached the commands I used and relevant run numbers. However you will need to access updated reconstructed Heep runs (which I have at:
/volatile/hallc/comm2017/holly/ROOTfiles). My files have the latest recon matrix elements and the correct central P and beam E values.
Have a nice weekend!
-Holly
