[Cst_pnt] Security changes to the BSN

In order to better secure the business-sensitive information that we
work with on a daily basis, there are a few things we are changing on
the BSN (business services network.)

First, tomorrow during maintenance day, we will be modifying the
configuration for laptops in the BSN so that they are always in the BSN,
even when on wireless. This will ensure that the protections needed for
a machine with access to business-sensitive information are always in place.

Second, also tomorrow during maintenance day, we will be cleaning up our
network configuration, such as to remove machines that are no longer
active, and to give more targeted access to machines outside of the BSN.
We anticipate that this will not affect any users, but if you find that
you cannot access a BSN resource (Costpoint Terminal Server, etc) on
Wednesday morning, please contact me.

Finally, as a general note, all desktops on the BSN are being encrypted.
Most machines have already been encrypted, but a few are not completed
yet. During the encryption process, you may be prompted by the Credant
software to enter your password or pin number. If you see this message,
enter only your JLab email password, not your smartcard pin number.

Please contact me with any questions - I'll be happy to help if I can!

Thanks!
Kari
