Just another reminder that computer maintenance will be done tonight.  Everyone should be logged out of the Costpoint systems by 4:40 pm and out of their machines by 5 p.m. tonight.  Please see note below.

There will be a planned maintenance period tonight, 5-7 p.m. During this maintenance period, all MIS apps and Pansophy will be down for about 30 minutes while the underlying database servers are rebooted. Java 1.6 will be removed from the PCs in the conference rooms, as well as all CUE Level 1 Windows desktops. Windows and Linux patches will be released to all CUE desktops. Plan on rebooting your systems as soon as is convenient on Wednesday or Thursday.  Also,  the non-Zimbra email servers ( mail.jlab.org ) will be down for about 15 minutes while the service is restarted. Microsoft Office 2010 will be made available for installation. You will need to install this by April 16, as it becomes part of the production environment on that evening and will be installed on all systems that are not upgraded by that time. Finally, please note that the Zimbra email servers *will not* be upgraded tonight. This update is now currently planned for April 16.
