Hey All,
So Dana completed the upgrade to 7.1.23... Thank you Dana!!!! We both ran through a number of functions, kicked off the nightly jobs and all seem to be working as anticipated.
As with every upgrade, it is recommended that you clear your cache before going into Costpoint... It may not be required, but is best practice. There are two minor issues we have found.
1. We need to see why the "caps lock warning" is not appearing as it had in the past.
2. On JSASTATE...we are receiving a license error for WTC. WTC is Web Time Collection and we have no timekeeping setup for this system. Simply click OK at the error and use the browse or menus to get into A/P or wherever you need to go. We'll figure out why the WTC license is blowing up on us... The good news is, this will NOT stop you from processing anything from Discretionary....
We have not seen anything else, so I believe we are good to go....
Thank you Dana and thank you all for your patience! I will be available should we have problems bright and early!!!
Thanks!!
Matt

Subject: System Upgrade Monday 6:00pm
Hey All,
Hope you are all doing well. We are installing a Costpoint upgrade Monday, November 22, 2021 at 6:00pm. Please exit the system by 5:50pm, Monday November 22, 2201 in support of this effort. This upgrade will take us from version 7.1.7 to 7.1.23 and will prepare us for receiving additional updates over the next several months to support the annual tax table / regulatory updates which are required. The system update was reviewed using automated test scripts generated over the past couple of months. Additional reviews to confirm the back-end interfaces were also conducted. A decision to use full automated testing while we are simply installing minor releases (e.g. we are still operating within the 7.1 baseline) was made due to the limited risk associated with minor version updates. For the most part, moving from 7.1.7 to 7.1.23 encompassed only bug fixes and tax/regulatory updates, but as always, testing is only as good as the samples tested. Core functions appear to operate as before and I do not anticipate any material changes, but should you find a problem, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks again for your patience as we go through these updates. Please be aware that additional updates will be performed in the December/January timeframe and recurring updates to maintain JLab on a supported version in 2022 is our intended goal.
And remember, it is always a good practice to reboot and clear your cache after an upgrade!
Have a great weekend and hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Matt
