During this time, many of the services we rely upon will be unavailable. Please plan to be out of the system by 5:00pm on Tuesday. </div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>In addition, because patching always creates the need to reboot systems, I reboot my computer every night as I leave for the day. Doing this every night gives the system the chance perform all of the updates without impacting me in the morning with the long waits created after rebooting during the patching process. There may be the need to reboot several times for any series of patches, nightly rebooting insures all the patches are installed over several days with minimal impact. I would highly recommend this as your nightly routine to avoid the inconveniences caused by "Please Wait" messages while Microsoft completes their updates. If you happen to get a "Patch has been installed that requires a reboot" message, I usually delay it for a day and simply let my nightly reboot take care of the problem.<br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>Thanks!<br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div><br></div><div data-marker="__SIG_PRE__">Matthew Krug (Matt)<br>Financial Systems Manager<br>Jefferson Lab<br>757.269.7120</div></div></body></html>
