Postdoctoral Research Associate Position

 

 

The Indiana University Nuclear Theory Center will have a postdoctoral 
research position available starting in April 2010.  The initial 
appointment will be for one year, with possible renewal for one or two 
years, depending upon available funding and job performance. The Nuclear 
Theory Center consists of six faculty members, two postdoctoral 
researchers, six graduate students, and several visitors associated with 
our group. Current research programs include nuclear astrophysics, 
neutron star structure and neutron rich dense matter, weak and 
electromagnetic interactions with nuclei, relativistic many-body theory, 
nonperturbative QCD, lattice QCD, QCD inspired models, hadron 
spectroscopy, strongly correlated systems, effective hadronic field 
theories, and subhadronic degrees of freedom in nuclei. The Center is 
located in the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility (IUCF), and this 
position affords close contact with the Cyclotron, Condensed Matter, and 
the High Energy research groups. Additional information about the IU
