Schlumberger-Doll Research, a leading research laboratory in the 
petroleum industry, invites applications for a Nuclear Research 
Post-Doctoral Scientist position based in Cambridge, MA. The successful 
candidate will work on the design and construction of a 
position-sensitive, scintillation detector for deeply penetrating 
ionizing radiation. The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in Physics 
or Engineering and should have a strong background in experimental 
nuclear physics, particularly with particle detectors, track 
reconstruction algorithms and read-out electronics. Experience with 
particle transport simulation packages (Geant, MCNP, etc.) is a plus.

We are looking for candidates with strong technical and communication 
skills, as well as the ability to foster effective working relationships 
with fellow scientists and engineers. Prior experience in the oilfield 
industry or industrial research labs is a plus but not required. If you
