[Cuga] International Workshop on "High Energy Nuclear Physics and QCD"---a message from Misak Sargsian

Dear Colleagues

We would like to invite you to participate in the international workshop on 
"High Energy Nuclear Physics and QCD" which will be held at 
Florida International University, Miami on February 3-6, 2010.

 

The main objectives of the workshop are to :  
-  elaborate the scientific motivation and experimental requirements for 
high--     
   energy nuclear physics experiments with the JLab 12 GeV  upgrade; 
-  discuss the potential of nuclear structure studies with a future 
high--luminosity  
   electron--ion collider (EIC); 
-  explore connections and synergy effects  with the nuclear physics 
programs at
    future hadron beam facilities (GSI FAIR in Germany, JPARC in Japan); 
-  evaluate the status of the new Nuclear Physics  Data Mining Initiative 
   of the CLAS Collaboration at JLab.      


T/he workshop will be dedicated to //Mark Strikman/ who will be 
celebrating h/is 60th birthday and who has made very/
/ significant contributions to this field of study./
