      Particle/nuclear physics: Experimental or Theoretical

Faculty Position at Rutgers University

The Department of Physics and Astronomy has a tenure track assistant
professor opening in subatomic physics beginning in September, 2011. The
highest priority will be for a particle theorist with interest in LHC
physics, or an experimentalist working in non-collider based
particle/nuclear physics.

Candidates should submit a c.v., publication list, statement of research
plans, and at least three references. For full consideration, all
materials must be received by Dec. 15, 2010.

/Rutgers University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
Applications from women and under-represented minorities are especially
encouraged. /

Send application material to:
Ronald Ransome, Chairperson,
Department of Physics and Astronomy
136 Frelinghuysen Rd,
Piscataway, NJ 08854

The department has a strong program in High Energy Physics,
characterized by close collaboration between the theory and experimental
groups.

The experimental group participates in experiments at Fermilab, CERN,
JLAB and Oak Ridge.

The particle theory effort involves both the high energy theory group
and the New High Energy Theory Center.

For further information about the experimental particle physics
position, send email to Prof. Yuri Gershtein
(gershtein at physics.rutgers.edu).

For further information about the theoretical particle physics position,
send email to Prof. Scott Thomas (soyak at physics.rutgers.edu).
