All-JLab Memos:
Radioactive Material Disposal
RadCon is implementing a new policy during the Winter Scheduled
Accelerator Down. RadCon waste cans for disposal of radioactive
material will be placed in beam enclosure areas and certain buildings
where work with radioactive material occurs. These waste bins are for
disposal of beamline and other hardware that is known/expected to be
radioactive. Click the link for a list of locations and more
information: https://www1.jlab.org/ul/apps/news/memo/2010_Radioactive_Disposal.cfm
Copier Replacement Schedule Delayed
Several hardware issues have impacted the schedule for the copier
replacement work being conducted this week. In order to minimize the
impact to users as much as possible, Copy Center staff is delaying the
installation of additional new copiers until all known issues are
resolved. The work schedule has been updated accordingly, and it's
expected that all old machines will be replaced by the end of the
week. For questions regarding the scheduling of this work, contact
Walt Akers. For the updated schedule, as well as instructions on how
to update your drivers, see the copier replacement document: http://cc.jlab.org/infrastructure/2010-CopierRefresh.pdf
