Feb. 1 Application Deadline Nears for Summer 2010 SULI Program

The application submission deadline for the summer session of the 
Department of Energy's Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship 
program is Feb. 1. Information about the SULI program is available at: 
http://www.scied.science.doe.gov/scied/ERULF/about.html .

This program places students in paid internships in science and 
engineering at any of several DOE facilities. Students work with 
scientists or engineers on projects related to the laboratories' 
research programs. The different laboratories each offer different 
research opportunities. Jefferson Lab, in Newport News, Va., 
participates in the summer SULI program.

The summer programs run from late May to mid-August; specific start 
dates depend on the laboratory and will be given to participants who 
have been accepted at that specific laboratory. Students are required to 
participate for the full term of the program.

Students may continue to complete and submit applications after the labs 
begin making selections for internships; however, applications submitted 
after this date may never be read by the lab.
