POST DOC JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The Intermediate-Energy Nuclear Physics research group at Florida
International University (FIU) invites applications for a postdoctoral
research associate position. Our group (Werner Boeglin, Pete Markowitz,
Brian Raue, and Jorge Reinhold) is active in all three experimental
halls at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson
Lab) in Newport News, VA. We have research programs in the
electromagnetic production of kaons, hypernuclear physics, the structure
of the deuteron, and the search for two-photon-exchange effects in
electron proton scattering. In addition, we are involved in several
aspects of preparing for the 12 GeV energy upgrade at Jefferson Lab
including work on the GlueX detector.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the FIU
group's ongoing projects. Depending on the research projects, the
applicant may be stationed either at Jefferson Lab or at FIU. The
appointment is initially for a term of one year, with renewal by mutual
agreement and subject to the availability of funding.
