[Cuga] JSA call for proposals---a message from Zein-Eddine Meziani

Jefferson Science Associates, LLC, the laboratory's management 
 contractor, issued a call for proposals for the Initiatives

I would like to point out a couple of changes in this year's process and 
requirements.

1.  If your proposal includes equipment intended to be used by the Lab, 
you should review and secure the acknowledgement of the appropriate Lab 
associate director in whose division the equipment will be used.

2.  There is no requirement for signatures on the proposal - your 
identification of individuals constitutes their acknowledgement of your 
proposal.

3.  All proposals should be sent directly to the SURA Office of 
Strategic Services by the August 6 deadline.  An internal review of 
these proposals will be conducted by the Users Group Board of 
Directors.  The UGBoD will submit its initial review and proposal 
rankings to the Office of Strategic Services by August 20.  The 
Initiatives Fund Evaluation Committee will conduct the final review and 
issue its report and recommendations for award at the JSA Programs 
Committee meeting in late October.  Award notices will be made early 
November.
