Dear colleague,

We are pleased to invite you to the 8th Latin American Symposium of  
High Energy Physics (SILAFAE),
that will be held on 6-12 December 2010 in Valparaiso, Chile. The  
workshop site will be the campus of
Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria. The web-site is:

The program of the Workshop will address a broad range of topics  
covering the main areas of
high-energy particle physics: the standard model and beyond; QCD and  
heavy ion collisions;
Higgs searches, neutrino physics, phenomenology of AdS/CFT; astroparticles;
instrumentation for HEP experiments. It will include both theoretical  
and experimental issues.

We kindly invite and encourage you to deliver a talk at the workshop  
on one of the Program topics.

One of the main purposes of the Symposium is to foster the exchange of  
ideas, promote collaborations
and exchanges among Latin-american physicists as well as to present  
the status of the recent advances
in frontier topics in the field.
