[Cuga] Request for nominations for position of NP Research Division Director- A message from Tim Hallman

Dear Colleagues:

Thank you very much for the many thoughtful suggestions received 
concerning nominations for the position of Director of the Physics 
Research Division in the Office of Nuclear Physics. The vacancy for that 
position will be posted when Gene Henry retires on September 2, 2011. So 
there is still time remaining if you wish to make a suggestion and 
haven't yet done so.

While the search for Gene's successor is ongoing, effective September 2, 
2011, I will serve as Acting Physics Research Division Director, and 
business which concerns Physics Research Division Management should be 
directed to me at timothy.hallman at science.doe.gov

We have also received a number of inquiries concerning the status of the 
effort to identify a Medium Energy Program Manager to succeed Brad 
Tippens. While the effort to fill this position is ongoing, Ted Barnes 
has agreed, also effective September 2, 2011,  to serve as Acting Medium 
Energy Program Manager, and communications concerning the Medium Energy 
subprogram with NP should be addressed to Ted at
