Please encourage your undergraduate students to apply for a Department
of Energy summer internship at Jefferson Lab, or any of the other 16
national laboratories, via the Science Undergraduate Laboratory
Internship (SULI) program.

For those of you familiar with the SULI program, a few things have
changed since last year:
1) The application deadline has been moved up to *January 10, 2012* -
that's almost 2 months earlier than previous deadlines.
2) Freshman, or 1st year students, are not eligible to apply. A student
must have completed one full year at a college before he or she can apply.

The good news is that the internship lasts for 10 weeks, provides a $425
weekly stipend, and provides housing at the SURA Residence Facility for
students that live >60 miles away from JLab.

Students can apply at this site: http://science.energy.gov/wdts/suli/

Please contact Lisa Surles-Law (surles at jlab.org
<mailto:surles at jlab.org>) or Jan Tyler (tyler at jlab.org
<mailto:tyler at jlab.org>) if you have any questions.
