Mark your calendar: The 2012 Gordon Research Conference on Photonuclear
Reactions

GORDON CONFERENCE ON PHOTONUCLEAR REACTIONS
                           August 5 - 10, 2012
                           Holderness, New Hampshire

Dear Colleagues,

The next Gordon Research Conference on Photonuclear Reactions will take
place
on August 5-10, 2012 at Holderness School, Holderness NH.
<http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?year=2012&program=photonuc>)

The Photonuclear GRC is a forum for presentation and discussion of the most
recent results on frontier studies of the fundamental structure of
matter, both
visible and dark, using photon, electron and neutrino probes.

The topics of the 2012 meeting will include recent advances in studies of
the quark/gluon structure and excitation spectrum of nucleons,
the spectroscopy of exotic hadrons, the structure of few-body and hyper
nuclei,
hadrons in the nuclear medium, nuclear structure at short distances, its
quark-gluon dynamics, as well as application of photonuclear studies in
astrophysics. Considerable time will be given for discussion of ideas,
new trends and
future opportunities of research in photonuclear reactions and related
processes.

The GRC on Photonuclear Reactions has been special to many of us in
the community for a long time. Since 1959, the Photonuclear GRC
provided ample and unique opportunities for young scientists and leading
researchers to interact in the most scientifically stimulating environment.

We had a good and lively meeting in 2010 and we hope to maintain
the participation well over 100 in 2012, to be guaranteed a
continuation of this
successful series for our community..

We hope you will mark your calendar and will consider attending the
meeting next year.

If you have any suggestions and inquiries please contact one of us

Yours Sincerely
