We are writing to invite you to attend the International Workshop on

"Physics Opportunities at an Electron Ion Collider",

that will take place at the Indiana Memorial Union of Indiana University
at Bloomington from August 20 to August 22, 2012.

In particular, I would like to bring to your attention the following:

* July 18 is the deadline for early registration and for discounted hotel
room rate. If you are planning to attend the workshop, please take immediate
action to register and to make hotel reservation.

* We will have a very strong scientific program, with about 40 talks by
experts from diverse communities. The Agenda will be posted on our website
very soon. A list of confirmed participants can be found at

* A limited amount of local support may be available, particularly for
encouraging
junior researchers. Please contact the organizers at  liaoji at indiana.edu  for
