EEL Network Maintenance Planned for July 31
There will be a network maintenance period for the Experimental Equipment Lab on Tuesday, July 31, 5-7 p.m. Mezzanine telephones, Internet connectivity, printing and central services will be unavailable during the maintenance period. The IT Division will strive to make the outage as brief as possible. All network and internet connectivity will be restored no later than 7 p.m. If you have any questions or concerns about this planned work, contact the IT Division Helpdesk, x7155. Should you need to report an emergency in the EEL during this time and the nearest phone is offline, use a cell phone to call 911; then immediately call the JLab Security cell phone at 757-342-9868 to advise officers of the 911 call and nature and location of the emergency. You may also report an emergency by activating the closest fire alarm box and then calling Security to advise officers of the situation.

JSA Initiatives Fund Proposals Deadline Nears
Proposals for support from the 2013 JSA Initiatives Fund program are due Aug. 3. Proposals with JLab principal investigators will be forwarded to Bob McKeown for the first round of review. Proposals with User PI's will be forwarded to Sebastian Kuhn for the first round of review. JLab Community Invited to Intern Poster Session on Aug. 3
The JLab community is invited to attend the 2012 Summer Interns Poster Session planned for Friday, Aug. 3, 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the CEBAF Center lobby. More than 35 participants of this year's High School Summer Honors Internship Program, the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program and the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program will be on hand with posters they developed based on their work or research projects. The students are eager to explain and discuss their work and questions by members of the lab community are encouraged.

Kickball, Anyone?
This popular sport has expanded beyond the elementary school playground and is now available through several leagues in Hampton Roads. If you're interested in playing on a JLab-sponsored team, email Casey Heck at heck at jlab.org, by Friday, July 27. Games would be played on Wednesday evenings in Hampton.
