IT Maintenance Period Tuesday, Aug. 20, 5-10 p.m.
The CNI systems team is planning a maintenance period for 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20. During this time, all MIS applications will be unavailable while system patches and updates are installed. The cc.jlab.org web site will be unavailable while a new server is installed. Linux and Windows patches will be released to all systems. Plan on rebooting your desktop system to finalize the patch installation on Wednesday or Thursday. In addition, updates will be released to Firefox and Thunderbird applications. As always, contact the IT Division Helpdesk, x7155, if you have any questions or concerns.
Red Cross Blood Drive Set for Aug. 20
The next American Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in CEBAF Center, Room F113. New and repeat donors are encouraged to attend. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment, contact Johnie Banks, jbanks at jlab.org or x7539. TIAA-CREF Onsite Individual Counseling Sessions
TIAA-CREF will be offering Individual Counseling Sessions, where you can discuss your personal financial situation with a TIAA-CREF consultant on a confidential basis. They will be available to discuss how to help you achieve your financial goals by investing in financial solutions such as mutual funds, brokerage, life insurance and annuities. The sessions will be offered Friday, Sept. 13, in Support Service Center room 21. To schedule an appointment, call TIAA-CREF at (800) 732-8353, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
