Intermittent Power Outages Planned for Test Lab Aug. 29
There will be intermittent power outages at the Test Lab, Bldg 58, on Thursday, Aug. 29, 6:30-9 a.m. The power outages are to simulate power failures and verify that the emergency power and controls perform as intended. Two types of tests will be performed - Momentary, which will last approximately 5 seconds to simulate power "blips," and Power Loss, which will last approximately 30 minutes. The power outages will impact the Test Lab High Bay, including the Addition and office areas. The Technology and Engineering Development (TED) building, Cryogenics Test Facility (CTF) and Test Lab North Annex will not experience outages. Jefferson Lab Graphic Identity Standards & Style Guide Now Available
If you want to know the correct colors or how to properly use Jefferson Lab's logo, a new Graphic Identity & Style Guide is now available online. The guide explains and outlines the design principles used by the lab in order to provide consistent and professional messaging about the lab, its research and its people. In addition to information about the logo and lab colors, the guide provides information about approved PowerPoint templates, the use of Jefferson Lab photos and the designs for business stationery. Hogan Drive Lane Closed
The right turn lane (exit) on Hogan Drive is currently closed to traffic. Vehicles turning right must do so from the left-turn and straight through lane on Hogan. Newport News street crews are doing work on the right turn lane from Hogan Drive onto Jefferson Avenue. If the right turn lane stays closed through closing time, expect traffic to back up on Hogan as Newport News/SCOT and Jefferson Lab people depart work. To ease congestion, consider the alternate exit via Lawrence Drive south to Jefferson Ave.

Get Fit with Fido!
Want to work out after work but can't because you have to go home and walk the dog? Join the JAG Dog Training Club for a "Get Fit with Fido" class this fall! Class will start on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Support Services Building lobby and will continue through mid-December, except for the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. The workouts will include cardio, strength, balance and stretching, plus dog obedience and agility activities in an hour of non-stop fitness fun. All fitness levels can participate. Dogs must know some basic obedience commands, including sit, down and stay. One dog per person.
