Dear colleague,
Please find attached a poster for a school we are organizing in a few
months,
School on Non-Perturbative QCD - Hadron structure and hadronic matter
May 27 to June 7, 2013
International Center for Theoretical Physics
South American Institute for Fundamental Research (ICTP-SAIFR), Sao
Paulo, Brazil

The school is geared towards advanced graduate students and young postdocs,
and intends to bring them in contact with vibrant ideas at the core of the
current research on strong interactions.
There will be four courses:
1) QCD with a large number of colors
Thomas Cohen (Maryland) and Carlos Schat (Buenos Aires)
2) Effective field theories and soft collinear effective theory
Aneesh Manohar (UC San Diego) and Christopher Lee (Los Alamos)
3) Lattice QCD
Andreas Kronfeld (Fermilab) and Teresa Mendes (Sao Carlos)
4) Gauge/string duality and the quark-gluon plasma
Andrei Starinets (Oxford) and Diego Trancanelli (Sao Paulo)
Each course will consist of lectures accompanied by in-depth discussions
and hands-on activities.
The school will take place at the newly created ICTP-SAIFR and will help to
establish strong interactions as one of its activities.
We ask your help to spread this announcement and to identify interested
students.
Some funds are available for local and travel support of the participants.
