[Cuga] C-REX workshop : Mar 17-19 at JLab- A message from Bob Michaels

We invite the JLAB community, and other nuclear physicists, to a
workshop March 17-19 highlighting the nuclear structure reach of
Jefferson Laboratory.

The recent PREX experiment on Pb208, performed in Hall A at JLAB,
has demonstrated a new technique that uses parity violating electron
scattering to measure neutron densities. The Calcium Radius Experiment
(CREX) will apply this technique to measure the neutron radius of 48Ca,
a neutron rich medium mass nucleus. This has important implications
for nuclear structure including three neutron forces, atomic parity
violation, and astrophysics.

The conference will include introductory lectures on Monday morning
March 18, 2013 and we encourage newcomers to attend.
