DESCRIPTION:
The Gordon Research Conference on Photonuclear Reactions: From Quarks to
Nuclei is a forum for presentation and discussion of the most recent and
exciting results in a wide range of subatomic physics. The 2014
Photonuclear GRC will be held from August 10 - 14 at the Holderness
School, in Holderness, NH. The conference will be organized as usual in
9 Plenary Sessions and a Poster Session.

Topics for the meeting include:
* Nucleon electromagnetic distributions and polarizibility
* Hadron spectroscopy and meson photoproduction
* Nucleon spin and quark structure
* Nuclear structure
* Nuclear astrophysics
* Nuclei and QCD
* Dark matter and dark photons
* Low-energy electroweak tests of beyond standard model physics
* Advances in theory
* Future facilities and directions

Since 1959, the Photonuclear GRC has been an arena for new ideas and
provided ample and unique opportunities for young scientists and leading
researchers to interact in the most scientifically stimulating environment.

FORMAT AND SCHEDULE:
Photonuclear Reactions has 3-hour morning and 2-hour after dinner
plenary sessions, plus a poster session and a business meeting.
Afternoons are free for participants to either take part in planned
excursions or to engage in their own activities.

The Conference starts with dinner on Sunday, August 10, 2014 and ends
with breakfast on Friday, August 15, 2014.

Presentations at the Gordon Research Conferences are all private, and
may not be recorded or cited. There are no proceedings.

REGISTRATION AND CONFERENCE FEE:
The Conference Registration fee has not yet been set. The Conference Fee
for the 2012 Photonuclear Reactions Conference was $860. The fee
includes registration, room and board at the Holderness School from
Sunday August 10 through Friday morning August 15; a reduced
registration fee is possible for those staying off site. Gordon Research
Conferences also runs buses between Boston Logan Airport and the
Holderness School on Sunday August 10 and on Friday August 15.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
As with recent meetings, we anticipate having resources that will allow
us to reduce the cost of attendance for graduate students and other
younger scientists. Please email the organizers if you need financial
assistance.

LOCATION:
The Holderness School in Holderness, NH is a private boarding high
school, located a short distance from the White Mountain National Forest
and several New Hampshire State Parks. More information about the site
