Dear Colleague,
We will be hosting a Workshop on
Future HERA Physics for Current and Planned Experiments
in DESY, Hamburg, 11-13 November 2014 and would like to invite you to
attend. The HERA experiments have produced many unique results and
numerouspublications since the beginning of HERA running in 1992. This
workshop will ask what else should be measured, either processes not
considered before or to gain higher precision, and how this will impact
on our knowledge both in its own right and also for other experiments.
We welcome and will have contributions from theory and non-HERA
experiments on crucial physics topics still to be investigated and how
they can benefit from it.
The workshop will start with a HERA symposium on the afternoon of 11th
November in which the latest results of H1, HERMES and ZEUS are presented
as well as their consequences as seen by theory. The second and third
days will then be devoted to looking at future prospects, with talks by
people proposing new HERA analyses and ample time for discussion. The
topics to be covered are :
o Proton structure and PDFs
o Nucleon spin
o 3D nucleon structure
o Diffraction and low x
o Hadronic final states
o Jets and heavy flavours
o Monte Carlo development and tuning
The HERA experiments are also open to new collaborators who would like
to work jointly on any of the new topics and this workshop will be an
effective way of starting new collaborations with both theorists and
experimentalists.
A web-page with further information, as well as registration, is at :

We look forward to your participation in the workshop and welcome proposals
for presentations.
Sincerely,
The Local Organising Committee
