Nuclear structure and reactions (experiment) session at the 2014 Low
Energy Nuclear Physics Town Meeting
Organizers: Alexandra Gade, Michael Carpenter, Paul Fallon, Douglas
Higinbotham, Kate Jones, and Alan Wuosmaa

Friday morning (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM)
Friday afternoon (1:15 - 3:30 PM)

Your input is needed to generate the new Nuclear Physics Long Range Plan.

Following the very successful 2007 Town meeting Chicago, we are planning
to have 3 invited talks for our session that broadly outline future
opportunities with:
  · Direct reactions
  · Decay spectroscopy
  · In-beam spectroscopy
followed by contributed short presentations by the community
(potentially as short as 5 minutes).

The short presentations are most effective if they crisply communicate
the science opportunity and needed resources (instrumentation,
facilities, etc). We will use these short presentations as input for our
“Nuclear Structure and Reactions” part of the Low Energy Nuclear Physics
Town meeting whitepaper which will be input to the Long Range Plan.

Please let us know at your earliest convenience if you would like to
contribute a short presentation. For this, please email a (tentative)
title to gade at nscl.msu.edu

See http://www.lecmeeting.org/lowETown.html for the strategy of the Town
meeting and details of the Long Range Plan Charge to NSAC.

Sincerely,
Alexandra Gade
Michael Carpenter
Paul Fallon
Douglas Higinbotham
Kate Jones
Alan Wuosmaa
