2014 Open House Thank You and Survey 
Public Affairs extends its many thanks to the great volunteers who made the 2014 Open House successful. We'd also like to give all volunteers the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience and to offer suggestions for improving the event. If you volunteered for the Open House, please take a moment to complete this brief survey about the event. The results will be tallied and considered in planning the next Open House. Jefferson Lab Spam and Virus Filter Software Changing 
On June 17, the CNI group will migrate from the current spam and virus solutions to an updated environment. This environment is expected to provide better spam- and virus-blocking capabilities, while also providing a local (at Jefferson Lab) User Spam Quarantine server. Two training sessions will be held in the CEBAF Center auditorium at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, and at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. This training will provide information on how to manage your individual message quarantine. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the IT Division Helpdesk at x7155. 


SmartCard Renewals 
If you have a Jefferson Lab SmartCard, you must renew your SmartCard by visiting the IT Division Helpdesk between June 2 and July 11. For security reasons, Jefferson Lab SmartCards expire every three years, which means they must be renewed to continue functioning. In addition, the CNI group is making other changes to the SmartCard system that will require all cards to be renewed (even if issued recently). To avoid problems and delays, be sure to have your card renewed between June 2 and July 11. Once the expiration date passes, the card will no longer work, and the user will not be able to log in to Jefferson Lab systems using the card. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the IT Division Helpdesk, x7155. 


Pressure Systems Awareness Training Offered 
A training session for SAF130A, Pressure Systems Awareness, will be held on June 10 at 2 p.m. in CEBAF Center room F224-225. Registration is available through the Learning Management System. New Travel Options from PHF 
PeoplExpress will begin flying out of Newport News Airport on June 30. Initial destinations are Newark, Pittsburgh and Boston. Tickets go on sale today, June 4, with one-way fares starting at $76. Future destinations include West Palm Beach (July 15), Atlanta (Aug. 1), St. Petersburg (Aug. 28), and New Orleans (Aug.28). If you are looking for flights, check the PeoplExpress website or have your Travel Coordinator ask CI Travel about flights.
