of the lab community who have recently received awards or earned

of summer program participants, and a number of timely announcements
including: CEBAF Center parking lot congestion on June 5, JLab T-shirt
sales and special orders deadline, Radiation Worker Training, access to
the SAD Safety Briefing, and a request from Human Resources to
participate in a short survey about the Employee Concerns Program. Also,
the lab will conduct its monthly Tornado Siren Test at 10:30 a.m. on
Friday, June 5.

*Pre-SAD Briefing Posted; If You Did Not Attend, Review Before Working

The Pre-SAD (Scheduled Accelerator Down) Safety Briefing/Training is now
posted online at:
https://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/webbasedtraining.html (select
SAF002, PreSAD 2015). Anyone who wasn’t able to attend the briefing,
and who will be working inside the Accelerator Site gate during the
shutdown, is expected to take the online version of this training.

*Know, Heed the Jefferson Lab Smoking Policy*

A number of complaints have been received from Lab staff that
individuals have been smoking in buildings or just outside the doors of
buildings. As a reminder, smoking *(this includes both traditional
smoking products and vapor/electric cigarettes)*is not permitted. Read
the entire policy online in the Admin. Manual, at:

Management System (LMS) online at

*Be Sure to Get Credit When Completing Online Radiation Worker Training*

When completing web-based training, such as Rad Worker I, SAF801C, you
must click on the link at the end of the training to get credit for
completing the online module. Recently, Radiation Control has
experienced a flood of individuals who indicate they went through the
online training program but did not get credit.

*All Members of JLab Community Asked to Take Employee Concerns Program
Survey*

Jefferson Lab is requesting all members of the lab community: employees,
users and subcontractors to complete a quick survey about the Employee
Concerns Program (ECP). The lab's ECP is available to all employees,
users, subcontractors, and others who interact with Jefferson Lab. The
survey is anonymous and participants are asked to respond no later than
Friday, June 12. Human Resources staff thanks you in advance for your
time and participation.Â

Click on the following link to access the survey:

*2015 JLab T-shirt Distribution and Sales; Special Order Deadline is 5
p.m. on June 4 *

This year’s Jefferson Lab T-shirt is slate blue with the periodic
table spelling out the phrase “JLab Exploring the Nature of Matter”
on the back. Examples of the T-shirt and special order items may be
viewed at the CEBAF Center reception desk. Those with a T-shirt voucher
or a bib tab with a sticker on it are eligible for a free T-shirt and
may pick them up at the CEBAF Center Reception Desk. Special orders
must be placed at the reception desk by 5 p.m. on June 4. See the full
brief for details.

*Firefighters at Lab on June 5 for Training Program; Expect Congestion
in CC Parking Lot, Front Atrium*
Nearly 100 Newport News Firefighters will be at Jefferson Lab on Friday,
June 5 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. for a training program. Expect congestion
in the main CEBAF Center parking lot. To avoid congestion, you may want
to park in the lot between CEBAF Center and the Support Service Center
(SSC) or in the lot behind the EEL, Bldg. 90. They will be eating
offsite, so there shouldn't be much of an impact on the cafeteria.Â
Also, first thing in the morning, all participants will be signing
the visitor’s log at or near the CEBAF Center reception desk. There
may be congestion at or near the reception desk, front atrium and C Wing
first-floor restrooms first thing in the morning. The group will be in
the CEBAF Center Auditorium and lobby areas.
