2016 Annual T-Shirt Design Contest Starts Feb. 15 
Put your creative talents to work and submit the winning design for the 31st Annual Jefferson Lab T-shirt Contest. Entries will be accepted Feb. 15 through March 11. Each submission must include a front “pocket-size” and back design. "Jefferson Lab," "DOE," "JSA, LLC," and "2016" must be included in the design. Resubmission of previous non-winning designs is welcome. The lab community will vote on designs March 14-25. The contest winner(s) will be revealed at the Jefferson Lab Run-A-Round on May 4. To enter, submit your design, username, division and telephone (contact) number online: https://misportal.jlab.org/railsForms/tshirt_submissions/new 

IT Maintenance Day Set for Tuesday, Feb. 16 
There will be an IT Division maintenance period 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16. During this time, there may be brief outages to various central services while updates are applied. Also, all of the MIS applications will be down starting at around 8 p.m. and until 10 p.m. for system and database upgrades. Be sure to plan your work accordingly. Windows and Linux patches will also be released to all desktops and servers, necessitating the reboot of some servers. Thus, there will likely be brief outages of some central services overnight while these systems are rebooted to finalize these updates. Updates to the Core Common User Environment software will be released to the site, as well. Finally, plan on rebooting your desktop Windows or Linux system no later than Friday, Feb. 19, to finalize patch installations on your local system. JLab Golf League Forming for 2016 Season 
The Jefferson Lab Golf League is open to all current staff, retirees, users and their spouses. All levels of play are welcomed. A 2016 season organizational meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, in CEBAF Center room F113, noon-1 p.m. No food will be served at the meeting, but attendees are welcome to bring their lunch or purchase something from the cafeteria. January Blood Drive a Success! 
Jefferson Lab donors made a significant contribution to the American Red Cross with January's Blood Drive! A total of 40 productive pints were collected, exceeding our goal of 38. Johnie Banks, Occupational Medicine, extends a sincere thank you to everyone who participated with this blood drive and congratulates participants for a job well done. The next blood drive will be held in April (date TBD).

Benefits Open Enrollment Underway for All Regular and Term Employees 
The 2016 Benefits Online Open Enrollment Period for Jefferson Lab will be offered through Tuesday, Feb. 23. This is your opportunity to review and, if necessary, modify your benefits options. Jefferson Lab Entrance Closure on Feb. 15: Lawrence Drive 
Hampton Roads Sanitation District is installing a 30” sewer force main on Department of Energy property adjacent to Jefferson Avenue. One section of the line will be installed just outside the accelerator site fence and along Jefferson Avenue. Then, installation will proceed under Lawrence Drive from the intersection of Lawrence and Jefferson Avenue and will stretch all the way to Hogan Drive. Beginning Feb. 15, the Jefferson Lab entrance at Lawrence Drive and Jefferson Avenue will be closed for two months for installation of the new force main. All traffic will enter and exit Jefferson Lab via Hogan Drive during this period. If you have any questions about this work, contact Rusty Sprouse at x7589. 

User Account Audit Beginning Feb. 15 
The annual Computer User Account Audit will begin on Monday, Feb. 15, and end on Monday, March 14. If you sponsor someone with a computer user account at Jefferson Lab, you will receive an email on Feb. 15 with information on how to complete your user audit.
