BEAMS Seeks Volunteers for 15 Minute Role Model Visits
An important part of Jefferson Lab’s Becoming Enthusiastic About Math and Science program experience for 5th graders is the Role Model Visit; and Science Education is seeking lab volunteers to provide these 15 minute Role Model visits for the students. During a visit, a volunteer talks to a group of about 12 –15 students about his or her job, education or job training, how he or she wound up at Jefferson Lab, and the aspects of his or her job that they most enjoy, etc. Students are encouraged to ask questions, with many questions often dealing with education and career. For more information or to volunteer for a Role Model Visit, contact Christine Wheeler at x7560 or wheelerc at jlab.org.
