============ BARYONS 2016 ==============
The 14th International Conference on the Structure of Baryons
*SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT*
This is the second announcement for the Baryons 2016 International
Conference.
For more information and registration, please visit the conference website:
http://baryons2016.physics.fsu.edu/index.html
Location: Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida USA
Date: May 16th - 20th, 2016
*SUPPORT*
The organizers can provide partial support for the vital participation
of young scientists;
registration fee reductions and waivers are available for graduate
students & postdoctoral
fellows. We encourage those in need to apply by sending an email to
Baryons 2016 <baryons2016 at hadron.physics.fsu.edu

will do our best.
Abstract submission is now open and will end on February 26th. In case
of problems,
please email the organizers:

Brief Overview
*--------------------*
This BARYONS conference will be the latest in a series of successful
conferences, which
started in 1970 at Duke University, and takes place every three years.
The scope of the
conference is to bring together theoretical and experimental experts on
all areas of physics
relevant to baryon spectroscopy, nucleon structure, and related aspects
of hadron dynamics.
The conference will highlight the physics of baryons and
related subjects in particle, nuclear
and astrophysics. The main issues to be discussed are our understanding
of the structure
and reactions of baryons from the fundamental theory of the strong
interaction, Quantum
Chromodynamics (QCD). In particular, the highly
non-perturbative phenomena of quark
confinement, mass generation and spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry
will be addressed.
Recent developments of new and forthcoming facilities in the world
will also be showcased.
We strongly encourage the participation of young scientists, including
students and postdocs.
*Main Topics Include:*
*-----------------------------*
* Spectroscopy of Light / Heavy Flavor Hadrons
Resonances, Exotic Hadrons
* Structure of Hadrons
Form Factors, Structure Functions, etc.
* Recent Approaches to Non-Perturbative QCD
AdS/CFT Correspondence, Lattice Gauge Theory, Effective Field Theories
* Hadrons at Finite Density and Temperature
The QCD Vacuum, Chiral Symmetry, Hadron Properties, etc.
* Electromagnetic and Weak Interactions
Photo- and electro-production of hadrons, P- and CP-violating processes
in nucleons and nuclei
* New Facilities and Instrumentation
