[Cuga] Update from the UGBOD- a message from Larry Weinstein

Dear JLab Users,

Thank you for helping make the annual Users Group Meeting a success.  I 
am the new User Group Chair.

The Users Group Meeting had an excellent collection of talks covering 
JLab physics, the physics of the NSAC Long Range Plan, and LIGO, as well 
as accelerator status, funding agency reports and lab management 
presentations (_https://www.jlab.org/conferences/ugm/program.html_). In 
addition, some important information was presented at the UG Business 
Meeting:

* The Users Group Board of Directors now has a four-person chair line. 
Haiyan Gao moves to Past Chair, Krishna Kumar is Chair Elect, and Julie 
Roche is Vice Chair.  Additional new members are Charles Hyde, Angela 
Biselli, Marco Contalbrigo, Nathan Baltzell, and Holly Szumila-Vance.

* Bob McKeown presented a draft of the 12-GeV Jeopardy policy.  See his 
presentation for details.

* Congratulations to Or Hen and Ellie Long, winners of the JSA thesis 
and postdoc prizes.

* The Users Group will have a Satellite meeting during the DNP meeting 
in Vancouver. Meeting time and location will be sent out when details 
are finalized.
