Hello, everyone:

During the “Future Trends in Nuclear Physics Computing” workshop [1], we
have decided to follow up on our discussions in a monthly Computing
Round Table.

The first Computing Round Table discussions took place on March 29th,
May 10th, and July 5th. The presentations are available on
https://www.jlab.org/indico/event/157. The next Computing Round Table
discussions are scheduled for August 2nd, September 13th, and October 11th.

In the Computing Round Table on Tuesday, August 2nd, Wes Bethel (LBNL)
will talk about experimental and observational scientific data
challenges and opportunities across the Office of Science:

The Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research hosted a
workshop to discuss data and data science needs with selected
scientific communities that have complex data challenges. This talk
will cover the methodologies of the workshop and the major findings.
In the discussion period, there’ll be an opportunity to discuss the
ways ASCR researchers might interact with EOD projects.

The Computing Round Table discussion will take place from 1:00 - 3:00
p.m. (EDT) in meeting room F226. We will use Blue Jeans for remote
participation. You can connect to the remote meeting via your browser:
